Rev. Treasure Ball Carter was born on September 4, 1958 in Anniston, Alabama to the parentage of Thelma Geneva Knight-Ball and Zell Ball, Jr. She was the sibling of Walter, Euzell, Gerald, Geneva, Timothy, Danny and Gloria. Her mother, father, and all of her brothers preceded her in death.
Treasure received God at an early age at Rising Star Methodist Church. Her strong faith led her to becoming a true servant of the Lord. Treasure received her ministry license while being a faithful member of Haven United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, sung in the church choir, and served in the pulpit. After pastoring many churches, Oak Grove United Methodist Church is where she served her Christian duties until her passing.
Treasure was a member of Ideal Friends Chapter #118 Order of Eastern Star, Love in Unity Court #45 Cyrene Crusader. T.J. Taylor Heroines of Jericho Court #5, Ladies of Circle of Perfection Zipporah Court #2 and Clayton Pearson Assembly Court #202.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two devoted and loving daughters, Chevis (Lester) Darby of Hampton, Virginia and Kama Underwood of Anniston, Alabama; five grandchildren, Miracle, Jachin, Madison, and Mallory Darby, all of Hampton, Virginia and Gabriella Underwood of Anniston, Alabama; two sisters, Geneva Chatman of Anniston, Alabama and Gloria Ball of Seattle Washington; two aunts, Janie Ball Walker of Anniston, Alabama and JoAnn Ball Lowery of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sisters-in-law, Rev. Gladys Ball of Elgin, South Carolina and Marie Ball of Topeka, Kansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
