J'Onn Cavitt Obituary

J’Onn Darrin Cavitt was born on July 14, 1999 in Toledo, Ohio to the John Cavitt, Sr. and Sheronda Jones. He later moved to Alabama where he attended Calhoun County Schools. He earned the distinction of being the youngest student to graduate from Saks High School at the ripe old age of 16. After graduation, he joined the Young Marines, where his hard work and dedication earned him a certificate from President Barack Obama.

J’Onn had an old soul. He loved music, talking, working, his family, and most of all, his children. He loved life and was often funny and bossy. He always worked hard and was dedicated to whatever the task.

J’Onn departed this life on December 27, 2018. He was preceded in death by: his grandmothers, Karen Porter and Marilyn Cavitt; his grandfather, Robert Cavitt; his great-grandmothers, Verlee Hood and Cleo Jones and his great-grandfather, Willie Hood; and the mother of his child, Meagen Layman.

Precious memories will forever remain with: his parents, Sheronda Jones and John Cavitt, Sr.; his stepfather, Robert English; his son, Zakari Darrin Cavitt; his daughter, J’Cionna Cavitt;his brothers, John Cavitt, Jr., Jaye’son Cavitt, Jalen Cavitt, and Tavion Fowler; his sisters, Jasmine Durife, Jai’RealCavitt, Jai’AiyaCavitt and Kasi Cavitt; his grandparents, Vivian English, Robert Jones and Robert (Mattie) English; his uncles, Robert Jones, Robert Cavitt, Sean Cavitt, Willie Hood, Donald Lynn, Galen Hood, Michael Hood, and Jawon English; his aunts, Shareese Jones, Alexandrea Jones, Shynell Jones, BrandyaCavitt, Renee Hood, Vanessa Lynn, Taniesha Dodd, Lisa Heard, Brazyl Carroll, Rena Ramsey, Chandra English and Nikki English; his nieces and nephews, Josiah Groom, Kimiah Groom, Carter Cavitt, Kadence Cavitt, and Jai’KaidenCavitt; his godfather, Tim Beard; his godmothers, Susan Koester, Fay Childress, Vanessa Lewis, Sherri Beard, Lucretia Arnett and Crystal Arnett; his godbrothers, Ty Lew & Jacob; his best friend, Joe Emery; the mother of his son, Donisha Stallworth; and countless other family members and friends whom he loved dearly
