Born Minnie Earl Turner on August 14, 1937 to Mr. Willie E. Turner and Mrs. Susie May Slay, who both preceded her in death. She was lovingly cared for by Mrs. Willie E. Rittenhouse and formed a lifelong kinship among the family as she tragically lost her mother as a young age.
She accepted Christ very early in life.
He amazing love affair began on April 8, 1960 as she entered into marriage to Mr. Laruth Knox, which continued for nearly fifty years until his death. To this union five children were born.
The emphasis of family was forever present as she was the curator. Strong faith, homemade cooking, hand-sewn clothing, love of animals, huge holiday celebrations, loud laughter, dancing, pride and "switches" were all fabrics of life woven together by her.
She entered into the Kingdom on the morning of her earthly departure amidst an atmosphere of love and a room filled with family. She smiled as she was reunited with her love, Laruth Knox. Three more angels were also awaiting her arrival; her son, Quntus Lee Knox; her grandson, Timothy J. Knox and her borhter, James Turner.
Her precious memories will forever be cherished by: one brother, Willie Turner; three daughters, Teresa J. Jenkins, Sandera (Chester) Thomas and Michell (Anthony) Moore;one son, Darryl (Sandra) Knox; five grandchildren Brandy Knox, Anthony Moore, Chelsea Moore, Ashley (France Swan) Gilmore and Tonya Jenkins;five great-grandchildren; a special friend, Mrs. Sadie Ray; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
