Robert Rowe was born in Oxford, Alabama on May 19, 1938. He was one of ten children born to OD Rowe, Sr. and Velma Rowe. He passed away on October 12, 2018
He was preceded in death by: his parents, OD Rowe, Sr. and Velma Rowe; his brother, OD Rowe, Jr.; his sisters, Thelma Gray, Mildred Wilson, Barbara Stoutamire and Doris Jean Phillips.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Betty “Honey Pooh” Rowe; his children, Adrienne Rowe Littleton of Birmingham, Alabama, Robert, Jr. (Masumi) Rowe of Okinawa, Japan, Charles D. Rowe of Jasper, Alabama, Eva (Edmond) Ware Currie of Concord, North Carolina, Alecia (Willie) Hawkins of Birmingham, Alabama, Johnathan (Rosemary) Rowe of Augusta, Georgia, and Nicolas (Ester) Rowe of Marino, California; his stepchildren, Victoria Jean Simpson, Melvette (Donald) Hill and Chiquita McDaniel; his sisters, Mary Anne Collins of Los Angeles, California, Annette Walls, Joyce Wallace, and Carol Hill, all of Dallas, Texas; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and countless friends.
Robert symbolized his dedication to Jehovah God as one of Jehovah’s Witness on February 16, 1985. He was a very stern and straight up man. He was a well-dressed man. He loved gardening and cooking. He loved to dance. He loved to help people because he loved people. He told a lot of jokes that weren’t funny, yet he was always amused by his own jokes.
