Sally Morris was born in Dallas County, Alabama to the parentage of Lum and Mattie Sullivan on October 6, 1927. In her early years, she was baptized at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. White, where she was an active member of the nurse's guild for years.
She was employed at Jefferson Davis Hotel, the Ramada Inn , and later retired from Northeast Alabama Regional Center.
On April 4, 2018, Sally answered God's call to eternal rest. She was preceded in death by: her mother and father, Mattie and Lum Sullivan; her husband, Alphonzo Morris; her sister, Mattie Jackson; her daughter, Patricia Elston; her brothers, Charles Bender, Columbus Sullivan, and Nelson Sullivan; her grandchildren, Marcus Russel and Toraino D. Lowe; one great-grandson, Charles Wood.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her brother, John Sullivan; her son, Alphonzo Morris; her daughter, Fannietta Dade of Anniston, AL; her grandchildren, Lolisa (Kenny) Deramus of Fayetville, NC, Deneen Elston of Atlanta, GA, Samuel (Debra) Dade of Anniston, AL, Sonya (Jerrell) Hicks of Anniston, AL, Mildred (Kevin) Ventura of Washington, S.C., Jantina Grant of Anniston, AL, Tyresha Robinson of Detroit, MI, and Andrea Curry of Detroit, MI; eighteen great-grandchildren; twenty-six great, great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
