Alfred Carey Henderson, III, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, relative, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026. Alfred was born on December 4, 1947, in Anniston, Alabama, to Alfred and Zaddie Henderson. He graduated from Cobb High School in 1966 and later attended Daniel Payne College in Birmingham for two years. Alfred spent most of his working life in custodial services and retired from Faith Christian School. Through the years, he was known as a hardworking and dependable man who took pride in his work and in caring for those he loved.

Mr. Henderson was a member of Kingdom Place Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Marcus Dunn, Sr. His church and faith were an important part of his life. Above all, Alfred was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Those who knew him will remember his infectious smile, his sense of humor, and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories, laughter, and love he shared will remain with his family and friends for years to come.

Alfred leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Alfred (Cassandra) Henderson, IV, Anthony (Tammy) Henderson, and Renee (Randall)) Gray; his sisters, Cora Henderson and Mattie (Henton) Orr; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, 1 niece, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Alfred was preceded in death by: his parents, Alfred C. Henderson, Jr. and Zaddie Cato Henderson; an aunt; uncles; and his nephew, Frederick Lamar Jones.

Though Alfred is no longer with us in body, the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will continue to live through the family and friends whose lives he touched. May his memory forever be cherished.
