Benita "Nita Bug" Kirksey ws born July 18, 1964 in Pell City, Alabama to the parentage of Lewis and Betty Kirksey. She confessed Christ and joined the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She graduated from Anniston High School and went on to attend Ayers College and New World College, where she became a licensed beautician. She was employed by Diamond Crystals and West Georgia College.

Loving memories of "Nita Bug" will be cherished by: her parents, Lewis and Betty A. Kirksey; her sons, Deldrekius "Boo" Kirksey and Marcus Quante Kirksey, both of Carrollton, Georgia; her brothers, Barnard (Angela) Kirksey of Saks, Alabama, Lewis (Delois) Kirksey, Jr. of Temple, Georgia, Titus Kirksey of Anniston, Alabama and Bryn (Temika) Kirksey of Weaver, Alabama; her sisters, Sherry Kirksey and Pamela Kirksey, both of Anniston, Alabama; her grandchildren, Malaysia Kirksey, Marcus Kirksey, Jr., Nyeisha Kirksey, Marley Kirksey, Mayla Boykin and Marcellious Boykin; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, Rev. Frank and Estell Kirksey and Fannie "Bell" Groce; and one niece, Neshoun Kirksey.
