Bennie Lee Taylor, Jr. "June" began life's journey on October 2, 1954 to the parents of the late Bennie Lee Taylor, Sr. and Hassie B. Taylor of Anniston, Alabama. At a very early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and personal Savior and joined the Friendship Baptist Church. He was educated in the AnnistonCity School System and was a part of the Cobb High graduating class of 1973. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in the summer of 1973 as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Servioce Medal. Airman First Class Bennie Lee Taylor, Jr. was honorably discharged in 1977. He returned to Alabama and attended Alabama A&M University. Bennie lived a happy and full life, including relocating to California and Ohio where he made many lifelong friends. June had a passion for carpentry and served many years as a general contractor.

On Sunday, June 2, 2013, a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle answered the Master's call at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama. God in His special way, at His perfect time picked from our mist this sweet soul and added him to His heavenly garden where his spirit will bloom forever with his father, Bennie Lee Taylor, Sr. and his sister, Janice Taylor Young.

The memories of June will forever live forever in the hearts of: his loving mother, Hassie B. Taylor of Anniston, Alabama; his grandmother, Louise Stephens of Anniston, Alabama; his daughters, Shanita (Chris) Webb of Pearland, Texas and LeMerian Taylor of Anniston, Alabama; a step-son, Lemoine Richmond, Sr. of Charleston, West Virginia; a brother, Maurice (Shelia) Taylor of Oakland, California; a sister, Rosie Mae Chappell of Chicago, Illinois; his granddaughters, Taylor, Talynn and Micah Webb of Pearland, Texas; eight step-grandchildren; a devoted niece and nephew, Roni and Ronald Young; and a special friend, Deborah Frazier. June also leaves to mourn a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
