Beulah Hawkins Blue was the youngest child born to the late Nannie Laura Hawkins on June 9, 1944 in Gadsden, Alabama. Beulah said "yes Lord, I am ready to join you" on Saturday, February 7, 2026. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Nannie Laura Hawkins; brothers, Fred Hawkins, Sr., Frank James Cash and Jesse James Hawkins; uncles, James Hawkins, Jesse Hawkins and J.C. Hawkins.

Beulah confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gadsden, Alabama. Shelater joined the Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Jamacia, New York and the Shiloh Baptist Church in Rockville Center, New York. Upon returning to Alabama, she joined the Greater Thankful Baptist Church in Anniston. Beulah served as a devoted usher in every church she joined.

She received her formal education in Gadsden, Alabama and graduated from Carver High School and journeyed to New York where she reunited with the love of her life, her soulmate, partner, and best friend, whom she loved until she transitioned, Edward Blue. They were married for 62 beautiful years. This union was blessed with two daughters, Tara and Tasha.

Beulah loved hard and worked hard. He employment history included tutoring at an elementary school, working in customs at John F. Kennedy Airport in Jamaica, New York. In 1993 she retired as a health care worker for the aged and disabled.

Beulah loved fishing, cooking and gardening. She would always show off the 12 pound sweet potato from her garden.

Beulah leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted and exceptionally caring husband, Edward Blue; two daughters, Tara Blue of Jamaica, New York and Tasha (Dwain) Adams of Queens, New York; her granddaughter, Tianna Adams of St. Paul, Minnesota; two brothers, Charles (Julia) Cash of Marion, Alabama and John L. Hawkins of Gadsden, Alabama; sisters-in- law, Sara Wilson of Chicago, Illinois and Margaret (Ronnie) Young; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
