Obituary

Deacon Billie Reginald Tillman, Jr. entered this world on June 4, 1968 to the parentage of the late Billie Reginald Tillman, Sr. and Doris Jean Tillman in Anniston, Alabama.

At an early age, he confessed Christ as his lord and Savior and attended Seventeenth Street Missionary Baptist Church faithfully until his health began to fail. Deacon Tillman was a devoted and faithful member, serving as Chairman of the Deacon board, a member of the male chorus, and the brother and fisher of men.

Deacon Tillman loved and was very active within the community. He served with several civic organizations, including serving as former Exalted Ruler of  T.A.W. Elk Lodge #1668 in Anniston, Alabama, and a member of Pot of Manna Lodge #478, where he excelled to the degree of 32nd degree Shriner. He was also a member of Aquilla and Priscilla Chapter 455 Order of Eastern Star. Billie was a 1986 graduate of Anniston High School and continued his education by attending Alabama A&M University, where he graduated with a degree in Business Management. After graduating, he started his first job at Magic Chef as a Quality Control Technician, which kick-started his career. He was employed with the Anniston Army Depot until his demise.

On January 5, 2023, Billie accepted the Master's call of eternal life. Those remaining to cherish his memories are: two brothers, Gerald Tillman (Monica) and Marcus Tillman (Michelle); two sisters, Denise Cunningham (Kenney) and Ceretha Allen (Ricky); an aunt, Mrs. Julia P. Ervin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Billie R. Tillman, Sr.; his mother, Doris Tillman; one sister, Althea Woods; his grandparents, Wilma Averitte Kidd and Emma Tillman; his uncles, Sam Kidd and William Kidd; and his cousin, Sonja Ervin.
