Daisy F. Pearson was born May 19, 1918 in Dadeville, Alabama to the parentage of Herbert Forster, Sr. and Carrie Fitten. She accepted Christ at an early age at the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Dadeville, Alabama. Upon moving to Anniston, she continued her worship and united with the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Her service to the Lord was not confined to the church. She volunteered with many organizations including the Retired Senior Volunteers of Anniston/Calhoun County, the Golden Springs Nursing Facility as well as the Beckwood Manor Nursing Facility. She was an active and generous donor to the Hospitalized Veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan. Mrs. Pearson's desire to volunteer continued after moving to Georgia. In August, 2013, as a patient at Southern Regional Medical Center, she volunteered to sit with and read to other patients. She was united in holy matrimony to Samuel Pearson, Sr. and to this union six children were born.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; three daughters, Ganelle Riggins, Mary Jones and Claudia Gordon; five brothers, Teddy Foster, Rev. N.D. Foster, Price Foster, Curtis Foster and Herbert Foster, Jr.; two sisters, Elizabeth Brooks and Hattie Pearson. Loving memories remain with: her daughters, Dorothy McNeil of Anniston, Alabama and Jeanetta Gipson of Texarkana, Texas; her son, Samuel (Hattie) Pearson, Jr.; her sister, Anna Williams of Lexington, North Carolina; sixteen grandchildren; fifty-one great-grandchildren; thirty-two great, great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
