Eldora Grier Magby was born to the late Walter and Annie Grier in Roanoke, Alabama on August 6, 1919. She was united in holy matrimony to Clinton O. Magby on November 16, 1941 in Roanoke, Alabama. Out of this union four children were born: Augustine, William Anthony, Clinton Otis II and Frederick Dunn. Clinton O. and William preceded her in death. After leaving Roanoke, she lived in Montgomery for a brief period and then moved to Anniston, Alabama at 1314 Brown Avenue for 64 years. She loved the house on Brown Avenue. Many happy memories were created. In 2005, she moved to Atlanta, where she lived with her children until beginning Hospice caer in 2011 at the Jonesboro Nursing Home in Jonesboro, Georgia. After moving to Anniston, she gladly and willingly served as a member of Haven United Methodist Church. She was a faithful and diligent worker. She loved teaching Sunday School. She was also an active member of the Slaughter Delight Chapter 782 of the Order of Eastern Star.
Eldora Grier Magby departed this life on October 6, 2013. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory: her children, Augustine (Harry) Hoskins of Rowlett, Texas, Clinton O. II (Cleo) of Fayetville, Georgia, Fred (Doris) of Loganville, Georgia, Keith (LaZetta) of Stone Mountain, Georgia and Montcrief (Pam) of Anniston, Alabam; twelve granchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
