Ella S
Copeland
Jan 4, 1936 — Jan 21, 2026
Nashville, Tennessee
Mrs. Ella S. Copeland was born to proud parents, Mrs. Annie Bell and Mr. James Springer.
She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and united with Bethel Baptist Church. As an adult she united with All Saints Roman Catholic Church where she remained a dedicated and faithful member.
Our beloved Ella "Sut" left a lasting legacy of faith, fearless strength, genuine love and a thirst for knowledge for: her daughters, Cynthia D. Copeland of Nashville, TN, and Phyllis (Gary) Billingsley of Schertz, TX and her son, Alfonza Copeland of Antioch, TN; her sisters, Betty J. Taylor of Anniston, AL and Elizabeth Harris of Birmingham, AL; and a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ma, as we embrace this new chapter we will think of you everyday as we thank God for His goodness because He gave us a mother who taught us how to pray. Remembering "Sut" is easy because she made her presence known to anyone around her and to many who are gone. Her memory is our keepsake from which we will never part because God has our "Sut" in His arms and she will forever live in our hearts.
