Obituary

Deacon Elmar Robbins was born on January 22, 1930 in Chambers County, Alabama to the parentage of Dennis and Hattie Robbins.

He confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Thankful Baptist Church, where he served as an usher, Sunday School teacher, Ward Leader, church treasurer and chairman of the deacon board.

He departed this life on July 27, 2015. He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife of 64 years, Mae Frances Robbins; two daughters, Mary Q. (Joe) Ammons of Roanoke, Alabama and Belinda Robbins of Piedmont, Alabama; three grandchildren, Kannyetta Ammons, Shndelon Ammons and Brandelon Ammons; a special niece, Dwendlar Morgan; one sister-in-law, Patsy (Sam) Pope; three brothers-in-law, Sidney (Rhoda) Hutchinson, Daniel (Liz) Prater and James (Pearl) Prater; and a host of other relatives and friends.
