Evelyn Martin Russell was born on September 24, 1955. She was the third of nine children born to Mr. Louis Thomas Martin and Effie Lois Jones.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Oconee Baptist Church of Anniston, Alabama. Later in life, she united with Living Waters Assembly of God in Saks, Alabama.

Evelyn was a graduate of Anniston High School, Class of 1973. After graduating from Anniston High School, she married Charles Hubbard of Brutonville, Alabama. To this union, three sons were born. Later in life, she remarried Michael Russell of Anniston, Alabama. Evelyn retired from FMC Corporation of Anniston, Alabama, where she was employed for 30 years.

On October 28, 2024, Evelyn answered the call of our Heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by: her father, L.T. Martin; her mother, Effie Lois Jones; her son, Issac Hubbard; and her sister, Charlsie Lee.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving sons, Charles Hubbard and Tremain Hubbard, both of Calhoun County, Alabama; four grandchildren, Dajuan Mayse of North Carolina, Brent Murray and Brooklyn, both of Calhoun County, Alabama and Xavion Curry of Jacksonville, Alabama; six sisters, Mary Martin and Bertha (James) Gilbert, both of Jacksonville, Alabama, Linda Martin, Janice (Kendell) Rush, Effie Williams, all of Anniston, Alabama, and Mary Brenman of Valdosta, Georgia; one brother, Lewis (Debra) Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, one aunt, cousins and friends.
