Fernandos "Nan" Taylor was born April 3, 1954 to the parentage of OC Taylor and Ruthie Lemon Taylor in Anniston, Alabama. He confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Friendship Baptst Church. Nan graduated from Cobb Avenue High School in 1972. He attended Jacksonville State University, where he graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. He worked the federal prison system for 30 years and retired from Maxwell Federal Prison in 2006 as a Drug Treatment Specialist.

Loving memories of Nan will always remain with: his brothers: Robert (Barbara) Taylor, Rev. Charles (Doris) Taylor and Norris Taylor, all of Anniston, Alabama and William (Diana) Taylor of Covina, California; one sister, Mary (Henry) Herbert of Bowie, Maryland; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
