Fred Leslie Davis was born in Anniston, Alabama on December 2, 1946, to the late Aaron and Mary Bevelle Davis. He graduated from Cobb Avenue High School in 1965. He worked at FMC in Anniston, AL until he retired. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, watching old westerns and eating his favorite dessert, pound cake with a glass of milk. Fred had a love for children and enjoyed lounging at the lake/park.

He was married to his late wife, Loretta Wilson Davis, for 29 years of Anniston, AL. From this union, four daughters were born: August (Daniel) Toussaint, Darlett (late Jamey) Palmore, Christal (Brandon) Moore, Kenesha (Kenneth) Allen and eight grandchildren: Jordan Christina, Jalen, Justin, Javanti, Jaas, Jerzy, Kayden, and Kameron.

His late siblings are Aaron "Boone" Davis, Leon "Tim" Davis, Evelyn Varner, Mary Ann Amos, Ruth "Ree" Griffin, George "Beame" Davis, Allen "Billy" Roy Davis, and Tommy Davis. A host of nieces and nephews, with a special nephew George "Rayjoe" Clifton and special friend.
