Sergeant First Class George Heinz Holliday lived a long and full life. His journey began on January 12, 1946 in Germany. He was born to the parentage of James W. and Christine Ullman Holliday.

George loved his country and proudly served in the United State Army, where he received numerous awards and medals, and obtained the rank of Sergeant First Class. He did two tours of duty in Vietnam and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. He retired after twenty years of service in 1984. Afterwards, he became an employee of the State of Alabama for ten years before retiring. George was a lifetime member of the VFW and AMVETS.

George was a true die-hard fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Auburn Tigers, the NFL, the New England Patriots and Donald J. Trump and the Republican Party.

George was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. On Monday, August 5, 2024, George passed away at Noland Hospital in Anniston, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by: his wife of thirty-two years, Bobbie Sue Bundrum Holliday; and his son, Jerry Wayne Holliday.

Loving and precious memories remain with: his daughter, Anna (Derek) Parris; his sons, Toney (Tammy) Holliday and Jamie (Patricia) Holliday; eleven grandchildren, Edward Holliday, Charmagne (Nicholas) Davis, Amber (Jerry) Porter, Heather (Kenneth "KC") Shuler, Kala Williams, Melissa Davis, Jacob (Ashlee) Holliday, Steven (Meagan) Deerman, Christopher (Halie) Deerman, Nicholas (Bridget) Deerman and Megan Holliday; twenty-five great-grandchildren, Hope Davis, Maddison Davis, Jamie Wilkes, Jr., Kendalyn Holliday-Redwine, Ryan Wilkes, Kelsie Holliday, Aubrie Wilkes, Zoey Holliday, Raelynn Deerman, Kenneth Shuler, II, Kaisen Holliday, Willie Roberts, Macie Deerman, Lauryn Kelly, Avery Holliday, Camber McLain, Kaysen Deerman, Hunter Deerman, Nova Porter, Marley Hartman, Kenneth Deerman, Laityn Deerman, Karina Martin and Kennedi Deerman; one great-great-grandchild, Jerry Wayne Davis; and friends.
