George William Holloway was born on December 21, 1932 to the late John Abe Holloway, Sr. and Irene Campbell Holloway. George received his education at Twelfth Street Elementary and Cobb high School. He entered into the United States Air Force where he served honorably until his end of time in service.
As a young child, George accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior; he continued his devotion to Christ by attendance and immeasurable service at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, where he was a member until his surrender to God. A cherished accomplishment by George in service to God was receiving his Fourth Degree with the Knights of Columbus.
George was employed with the Department of the Army at Anniston Army Depot, where he retired from Federal Service after twenty-two years of employment. George's memory will be forever cherished by his wife of sixty-two years, Elizabeth Holloway; children, Father Gerald Holloway of Birmingham, Alabama, Evangeline (Jonathan) Carter of Killeen, Texas, Edna Holloway of Anniston, Alabama, Eleanor Holloway of Silver Springs, Maryland; a devoted brother, John A. Holloway, Jr. of Anniston, Alabama; grandchildren, Cornelius Montez (Tinasha) Sullivan of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Krystle Sullivan and LeKevie Thomas of Anniston, Alabama; great granddaughters, Ajz'nee Young and Amiyah Sullivan of Anniston, Alabama; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
On October 30, 2017, george was called home. he is preceded in death by a son, Gregory Holloway of Anniston, Alabama.
