Obituary

On April 9, 1933, John Henry and Zettie McCollough were blessed with a beautiful baby boy whom they named "John". John confessed Christ at an early age in Lineville, Alabama and was baptized in a creek. He attended the Greater Thankful Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a Deacon until he no longer had the ability to serve. Deacon McCollough took his wings to go and be with his Heavenly Father on March 24, 2022.

Deacon McCollough was employed with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Gadsden, Alabama, where he retired after being a dedicated employee for several years.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his loving wife, Jettie McCollough of sixty-three years; four sons, Michael, Darryl and Gregory all of Atlanta, Georgia, and Broderick of Gadsden, Alabama; one daughter, LaKita of Oxford, Alabama; five grandchildren, Michael Jr., Patrice, Crystal, Austin, and Brandon; one great grandson, Mansa; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Deacon McCollough was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Zettie McCollough; three sisters, Ruby McCollough, Susie McRath, Shelley McCollough; four brothers, David McCollough, Wortham McCollough, Robert McCollough and Amos McCollough; one grandson, Jonte McCollough.
