John E. "Bot" Wynn, affectionately called "Dude" by his family, was born on February 21, 1935 in Talladega County, Alabama to the parentage of Walter Wynn and Effie K. Wynn.

He was well known in the area as the man to call when well pump service was needed. He was an avid sportsman, playing 1st base on the Silver Run Twins baseball team and he passed on his love of fishing to his son, Butch. He also loved football, high school and college. He retired from Union Foundry after 20 plus years of service.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his three children, Jacqueline (Larry) Todd, Anita (Jerry) Leonard and John "Butch (Stacey) Wynn; six grandchildren, Tamika (Rev. Tommy) Davis, Tanya Stevens, Takeya Williams Moore, Shankita (William) Tarver, Johnetta and ShaVera Mims; eleven great-grandchildren; one great, great-greandchild; one brother, Walter Wynn, Jr. and a host of loving family and friends.
