Lavar Marquette Gay began his life journey on February 10, 1978 to the parentage of Mary Joyce Gay and Henry Jones. He was a graduate of Anniston High School Class of 1996. He was an employee of the Anniston Army Depot for 12 years. His greatest accomplishment in life was confessing Christ as his Lord and personal Savior at an early age. On Saturday, July 12, 2014, he departed his life here on earth. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Mary Joyce Gay of Anniston, Alabama; his father,  Henry Jones of Huntsville, Alabama; his brother, Quentin (Jolisa) Gay of Anniston, Alabama; three aunts, Patricia Adair, Emma Gay and Jacqueline Foster, all of Anniston; a great aunt, Mary Smith; two nephews, JaQuan and Jackson; a special friend, Felecia Burroughs of Anniston, Alabama; and a host of other relatives and friends.
