Mr. Lee Curry Leonard, Sr. was born to the parentage of Eloise and Joe Lon Leonard on July 17, 1944 in Rockford, alabama. Lee confessed Christ at an early age. He was a member of the Greater Thankful Baptist Church.He attended the local schools in Calhoun County and graduated from the Calhoun County Training School in in 1962. He worked in the family business, Leonard & Son's Barbershop and Alabama Power Company. He was currently employed at Golden Living Healthcare Center at the time of his death, where he worked faithfully for 31 years.

On Tuesday, February 25, 2014, Lee answered the Master's call at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. His memories will be forever cherished by: his loving children, Sherondal (Stephen) Ozojiofor, Reginald (Leslie) Leonard, DeVodre (Cindy) Leonard and Corey D. Leonard; his grandchildren, Lakendra (Mario) Baxter, Lashondra Leonard, Alyssa Leonard, Indya Leonard, DeVodria Leonard and Yasmine Leonard; his great-grandchildren, Amare Baxter and Teniya Hall; step-grandchildren, Tierra Conner and Makiyah Conner; step-great-grandchildren, Jaiden Conner and Darome Conner; his siblings, Mary Ease (Bobby) Carr, Willie (Forestyne) Leonard, Joe (Iris) Leonard and Alonzo (Medral) Leonard; a sister-in-law, Elsie Knox; and a host of other relatives and friends.
