Obituary

Linda Murphy Jordan, affectionately called "Murph" by her friends, was born to the parentage of Ada Shoals and Calvin Murphy on July 29, 1958.

Linda attended Anniston public schools before moving to Maryland, where she graduated from Havre de Grach High School in 1977. Linda worked in home health as a Nursing Assistant and caregiver for years before becoming disabled.

Linda touched the lives of many through her gift of gab and her comical demeanor. She never encountered a stranger and always put a smile on the face of everyone she met.

At an early age, Linda confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior. After returning to Anniston from Maryland, she joined the Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Carey Heard.

She was preceded in death by: her step-father, Henry Shoals; her mother, Ada Shoals; and her sister, Virginia Wardlaw.

Linda's precious memories will always be cherished by: Curtis Jordan, Sr.; two children, Shawna Jordan of Glencoe, Alabama and Curtis Jordan, Jr. of Georgia; two brothers, Calvin Murphy of Riverdale, Georgia and Herman (Brenda) Murphy of Decatur, Georgia; two sisters, Vivian Jordan of Glencoe, Alabama and She'lante Wood of Tomball, Texas; three grandchildren, Lyndah, Isiah and Ava; her god-child, Gabreon Coleman; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
