Obituary

Sister Marion Miller Bell was born July 11, 1924 to the late Robert and Nannie P. Miller. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of the Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed. Sis. Bell was united in holy matrimony to the late Richard D. Bell on August 15, 1942 in Silver Run, Alabama, where she lived her entire life. She was a member of the Golden Star Chapter, #377 OES. She was a very loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a great friend to many. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting, fishing, ironing and cooking. On holidays she would cook and invite the whole community to her home. That was her way of showing and expressing love to everyone.

The Lord called Sis Bell home to eternal rest on Thursday, October 31, 2013. She was preceded in death by: her father, Robert Miller; her mother, Nannie P. Miller; her husband, Richard D. Bell; a son, Willie Ray Bell; a grandson, Barry W. Bell; her brothers, Edward Miller, Robert Miller and Sherman Miller; and her sisters, Oradyne Archie and Evelyn Jemison. Loving memories remain with: her sons, William (Exa) Bell and Richard E. Bell, both of Munford, Alabama; her daughters, Mary (Jesse) Berry of Oxford, Alabama and Dorothy (Willie) Elston of Hobson City, Alabama; eight grandchildren; ninieteen great-grandchildren; her brother, Willie Miller; three sisters, Georgia Brown and Alva Chatman, both of Munford, Alabama and Susie Bush of Anniston, Alabama; her sisters-in-law, Bettye Miller, Dorothulla Miller, Mary Miller, Johnnie Miller, Lexie Carlisle, Maude Bell and Sally Bell; three brothers-in-law, Sylvester Bell, James Brown and Robert Bush; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and lifelong friends.
