Mealie Williams Smith was born November 7, 1919 in Uniontown, Alabama to Daisy Stephens and Saint Williams. Her soul departed this life September 25, 2018 in Anniston, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Smith; her son, James M. Williams; her siblings Otis Bell, Ollie Turner, Mattie Wilson, and Corenthia Wright.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel and Carrie Williams of Anniston, Alabama and Jesse and Linda Williams of Dayton, Ohio; her daughter, Carol Williams of Anniston; a cherished friend, Vanessa Chatman; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
