Mrs. Nancy W. Adams was born on August 11, 1947 to the parentage of the late Willette Whatley and Donnel Ragland. She was the youngest of five children. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Macedonia Baptist Church in Weaver, Alabama and later with the First Missionary Baptist Chruch.Active in church, she always provided wise words for kids. She worked at Chalk Line and Fitco and served as a foster parent for many years. She graduated from Cobb High School in 1965 and Harry M. Ayers State Technical College in 1975.

She leaves to celebrate her life: her children, Terrell (Patricia) Adams, Anita (William) McNutt, Corey (Tangela) Adams, Dominiquo Jones; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; her sisters, Willie (Bishop Thomas) Whatley-Matthews, Sanford, NC, Mary (Michael) Stallworth, Cincinnati, OH, Leona (Charlie) Hicks, Indianapolis, IN, Robbie (Roger) Thornton, Lincoln, AL and Yvonne (Arise) Scott, Anniston, AL; her brothers, Samuel Whatley, Alvin (Mary) Whatley, Terry (Shemekia) Mosley, Augustus Ragland, Johnathan (Lyllian) Ragland, all of Anniston and Eddie Ragland of Indianapolis, In; her grandchildren, Shundrell Williams, Myowa Judkins, Domimique Adams, Danesha Adams, Omarion Adams, Keara Adams, Cree Stowe, Shanterrial Vinson, Tymia Vinson, Aniya Jones and Jaden Jones; one great granddaughter; a special cousin, Joe Christopher, Jr.; special friends, Penny Williams, Melba Garrett and Elster Webb; and a host of other relatives and friends.
