Nettie Ruth Caldwell went to heaven on December 29, 2012.

Nettie Ruth was the oldest daughter born to her parents, Frank Henry Edward Caldwell and Charlotte Carpenter Caldwell  in Jacksonville, Alabama on September 10, 1931. She completed her elementary and high school education in Eastwood School in Jacksonville, Alabama. She continued her education at Alabama A&M College where she earned her undergraduate degree in education. After graduation she returned to Jacksonville to teach at Eastwood School. She also gave piano lessons to students desiring musical training. She spent summer vacations at NYU in New York City, working to earn her Master's Degree.After earning her Master's Degree, Nettie married and moved to New Jersey, where she continued her teaching career. Nettie decided to return home to teach again until retirement.

Left to cherish memories of her are: two brothers, Edward Caldwell, Jr. and Donald B. Caldwell, Sr.; one sister, Eleanor P. Rosser and one sister-in-law, Irma J. Caldwell. Also left with sweet memories are her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
