Mr. Quinton Barnes, age 65, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away in his hometown, surrounded by those who loved him

. Born on December 24, 1959, in Birmingham, Alabama, Quinton was the beloved son of Alexander and Queenie Barnes (Milton). He graduated from G.W. Carver High School in 1978. He owned and operated Smooth Cuts Barber & Style.

Quinton's life was deeply rooted in love for his family. He was a devoted husband to Kimberly, who preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memories are: Quinton Barnes, Jr. Eric Barnes, and LaShonda Dansby. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Jamarion Smith, Erica Barnes, Princess Barnes, King Barnes, MeyKaylla Dansby-Kirkland (Tandez Kirkland), and Jaleigha Dansby-Williams; as well as his great-grandchildren, Layonna Dansby, London Kirkland, and Meadow Kirkland.

He shared a close bond with his siblings: Teresa Scruggs (Anthony), Alexander Barnes, Jr. (Trisha), Horace Barnes (Julia), Michael Barnes (Glenda), Vivian Barnes, and Sherry Barnes Scott (Greg). He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends whose lives were touched by his warmth and presence.

Known affectionately as "Big Rock", Quinton will be remembered for the love he poured into ever role he held – husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His nurturing spirit and unwavering loyalty left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
