Obituary

Roosevelt Lee "Skinner" Thompson was born on June 7, 1945 to the parentage of the late Mr. Raymond Thompson, Sr. and Mrs. Marie Greet Thompson Garrett in Anniston, Alabama.

He was a star running back and basketball player for the Cobb Avenue High School Panthers. He graduated in 1963 and immediately joined the United States Air Force.

He was united in matrimony to Ella Jean Todd and to this union two daughters were born. In May, 1973, he married Filipina Balais and to this union one son was born.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a son, Michael Edwin Thompson of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Felicia Thompson and Anita Thompson, both of Mt. Vernon, New York; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Josephine (Jim) Gooden, Ellie Garrett and Melba Riggins; a special nephew David "David T" Mays, Jr. one uncle, Albert (Jake) Greer; special friends, Mr. Hank Basket and Ms. JoAnn Wilburn; a sister-in-law, Magelina Thompson.
