Mrs. Sadie B. Sistrunk was born in Comer, Alabama on November 13, 1932 to the late Cliff Davis and Hattie Mae Davis. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined 22nd & Moore Avenue Church of Christ. She was united in holy matrimony to the late John M. Sistrunk on July 2, 1952 and to this union four children were born. She loved everyone and touched the lives of many.

She departed this life on September 19, 2013 after a long illness. She leaves to cherish her memories: her special mother, Romania Garrett; her sons, Lorenzo (Mary) Sistrunk and Albert Sistrunk; a daughter, Vanessa (George) Holman; her siblings, Patricia (Willie) Mays, Paul (Bobbie) Garrett, Greta (Jewell) Blackwell, Kathleen (Edward) Bolton, James (Felicia) Garrett, John (Phyllis) Garrett, Derico (Barbara) Garrett, Darryl (Doris) Garrett, Cecil (Bert) Williams, Nastrina Garrett, Addie M. Kirsey, Annie J. Robinson and Annie L. Harper; her special daughters and sons, Sandra Sistrunk, Tawana English, Annunziata Verde, Travis Frazier and Wilbur Stewart; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild and one on the way; and a host of other relatives and friends.
