Sudie Heard was born May 19, 1909 in Millerville, Alabama to the parentage of Joe Sims and Lancie Lee Sims. She departed this life on February 4, 2013 at the Golden Living Health Care Center in Oxford. Survivors include: two very devoted nieces, Hazel Kimble and Gloria Ann Kimble; cousins, Martha Dews and Belinda Smith; a long time friend, Mrs. Sue D. Wright; and other relatives and friends. Sudie was an active member of the Goodsell United Methodist Church until she became ill. She was also active at the Ellis Senior Center in Gadsden. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
