Mrs. Susie Mae Riggins was born on July 19, 1920 in Talladega County to the parentage of the late Mr. Ben and Mrs. Amelia Brooks. She joined the Sunlight Baptist Church at an early age where she professed Jesus Christ as her Savior. Later she united with the Greater Thankful Baptist Church. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Ollie Riggins on April 1, 1938 and to this union ten children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Ollie Riggins, her sons, Mark Harvey Riggins and Robert Riggins, a daughter, Ollie B. Riggins and two grandchildren, Regina Riggins  and Dennis B. Riggins. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. she leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Barbara Bolding, Rose (Charles) Dark , Brendale Taylor, Diane Riggins, Jewel Riggins and Agnes D. Riggins; a son, Benny D. Riggins; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; eighteen great, great grandchildren; a brother, Frank Brooks; a sister Fama A. Hughes; and a host of nieces and nephews and a special friend, Emma Lanier.
