Ms. Sylvia Yvonne Swain was born on June 7, 1966 in Anniston, Alabama to Mrs. Nina Mae Swain and Mr. Lochinvar Swain. She was raised in a lively home, as the baby of the family, with three sisters and one brother.

Ms. Swain grew up in Friendship Baptist Church where she participated in Christmas and Easter programs and attended Sunday School and Baptist Training Union. She accepted Christ at a young age and served faithfully as an Usher, SundaySchool Teacher, and Choir member.

Ms. Swain was an excellent student. She graduated as co-valedictorianfrom Anniston High School. She matriculated at the University of Alabama, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. After graduation, she worked for a time as a General Motors Engineer. Later, she received a Master of Business Administration from Jacksonville State University.

Ms. Swain's favorite hobbies were needlepoint and crochet, where she created beautiful pieces for family and friends. Shealso enjoyed her nieces and nephews and rejoiced with each addition to the family.

On Friday, December 26, 2025, Ms. Swain's earthly journey ended and she went home to be with the Lord. To mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her three sisters, Sharonlyne (Kenneth) Graves, Brenda (Jeffrey) Wahleithner, and Cassandra Swain; her brother, Myron (Evelyn) Swain; her eight nieces and nephews; her four great-nieces and great-nephews; and many other dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and eldest sister, Barbara Swain.
