Obituary

As the day dawned on November 25, 2025, our beloved daughter, sister, and child of God, answered the call of her Almighty Father. Miss Teon Shelette Nixon quickly rested in the arms of her Heavenly Father. He birthed her March 3, 1969 on St. Albany, New York to her proud and thankful parents; Paul Thomas Nixon and Juanita Cobb Nixon. Teon was the baby of the family which she brought much joy, admiration and love.

Teon had a niche' for achieving many aspects of life and attended elementary school in Glenview, Illinois and Jacksonville, Alabama. After the relocation of her family to Albany, Georgia, she united with Greater Cutliff Grove Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Ministry and as church secretary.

She is a grduate of Dougherty High School Class of 1986. During her high school years, she was a member of the marching band dance line and was chosen as a debutant, where she received a third place awar. She advanced her studies by attending Troy University, acquiring a degree of Associate of Science in General Education, and Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Teon was preceded in sleep by: her father, M.GySgt. Paul T. Nixon, Sr.; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Essie Keith; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ottis Nixon; two uncles, Mr. John Dallas Cobb and Mr. Aaron Noxon; two aunts, Mrs. Mary Williams and Mrs. Johnnie M. Wilson; several cousins, Jeffery Wilson, Karcilon Parker, Allison Reynolds, Jessie Clem Williams, Ronald Williams, Richard Williams, and Rowena Siders, all of whom she had cherished memories.

Teon knew her Master's call and answered and she will forever be in the heart of: her mother, Dr. Juanita Nixon, Albany, Georgia; her brother, Paul T. Nixon, Jr., Pompano, Florida; her bedside pet, Master Peaceful Nixon, who brought so much love in her final days; four aunts, Mrs. Deloise Keith, Mrs. Ruby Keith, Mrs. Mary Nixon and Mrs. Elsia Adams, all from Jacksonville, Alabama; her very dear friends, Mrs. Yolanda Knighton, Mrs. Linda Brown, Mrs. Meritta Jones, Mrs. Sharon Andrews, and Mrs. Jasmine Jones, all of Albany, Georgia who she loved dearly; and a host of cousins and friends.
