Teri Lynn Avery was born to the parentage of the late Lilla V. Traylor Avery and Willie Avery in Anniston, Alabama. Teri confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church. Ms. Avery was a 1975 graduate of Walter Wellborn High School. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Selestine Avery, Denise Avery Pope and several other relatives.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her brother, Randy B. (Rose) Avery, Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida; her sister, Cathie (James) Avery Lee of Pensacola, Florida; one special niece and caregiver, Farrah Avery-Agyiri; two aunts, Mattie (Austin) Ward of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Geneva Clayborn of Anniston, Alabama; a host of nieces and nephews; and the staff of Talladega Health Care.
