Thelma Geneva Ball was born to the parentage of Donnie and Walter Knight on September 27, 1927, in Horeseshoe Bend, Alabama. She united in holy matrimony to Zell Ball, Jr. on September 28, 1946 and eight children were born to this union. She united with the Haven United Methodist Church, where she was a faithful and dedicated member.

On Tuesday, December 23, 2014, she answered the Master's call. God, in His special way, at His special time, picked from our midst this beautiful soul and added her to His heavenly garden. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Zell Ball, Jr.; her parents, Donnie and Walter Knight; her sons, Euzell, Gerald, Timothy and Dannie Ball; her sisters, Nira Jackson, Eunice Thomas, Gladys Pearson, Aldora  Vesley and Willie Mae Brooks; her brothers, George, James, J.T., W.L., Jesse and Morty Green Knight.

Beautiful memories of Mrs. Ball will forever be cherished by: her son, Walter (Gladys) Ball; her daughters, Geneva (Eddie B.) Chatman; Reverend Treasure (Johnny) Carter, and Gloria Brown; seventeen grandchidren; twenty-five great-grandchidren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
