Mr. Thomas Leonard, Jr. began life's journey on September 17, 1948, born to the late Odell and the late Thomas Leonard, in Anniston, Alabama. Mr. Leonard graduated from Cobb Avenue High School in 1966 and joined the United States Marine Corp; going to Vietnam in January of 1967. Upon completion of his military service, Mr. Leonard returned to Anniston and enrolled at Jacksonville State University, graduating with a degree in accounting. He worked several years at M & H Valve as supervisor of the payroll department. Mr. Leonard retired from the United States Government after thirty years of service in the Treasury Department (Internal Revenue Service).
Mr. Leonard confessed Christ as his Lord and personal Savior at an early age. Thomas answered the Master's call on November 9, 2017. Thomas leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife of forty-nine years, Catherine Truss Leonard; daughter, Nicole Leonard, whom he adored; siblings: Alonzo (Mary Frances) Leonard, Lee Wallace Turner, Lisa (George) Brown; sisters-in-law, Sonya Carr, Denise Carr, Julia Ann Carr and Donna Roberson; brothers-in-law, Ronald (Debbie) Carr, Dennis (Renee) Carr, Travis Roberson and Blance Roberson; aunt, Fannie Leonard; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by: his son, Darryl Leonard; parents, Thomas and Odell Leonard; brothers, Charles Leonard and Eddie Leonard.
