Mrs. Vera Kimble-Coleman was born on April 5th, 1926, to the parentage of the late Mr. Lon davenport and Ada Mackey Davenport in Ashland, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bethel Baptist Church in Ashland, Alabama. Later in her adult life, she joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was active in the Young Matrons, Sunday School, and Baptist Training Union. During this time, she also served as the pianist at Pilgrim Baptist Church of Anniston, AL; O'Connee Baptist Church, O'hatchee and the Union Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of her beloved (deceased) uncle Rev. Ed Knight. Later she united with The Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Musician for forty-five years. One of her proudest efforts was the organization of the Bethel's Men's Chorus. Mrs. Coleman was also a deaconess at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.

On July 27, 1945, she married the love of her life, the late Mr. Cleve Kimble. To this union, three children were born, one of which preceded her in death. After being widowed, she married Deacon Jesse Coleman.

Mrs. Kimble-Coleman transitioned on January 20th, 2022 at the age of 95.

She leaves to mourn: a daughter, Mary Frances Brown and a loving son-in-law Joe; a son Harold Stanley Kimble and devoted daughter-in-law Vivian, step-children, Roosevelt (Vernell) Coleman, Jesse Jr. deceased (Brenda) and Otto Coleman (Phylisha). She shared beautiful, memorable times with her grandchildren Justine, Christen (Susanna), Donna, and Harold Jr. (Caresse) Leon (Tamera) Lindsey and Shamiria Lindsey. Her great-grandchildren are Sewan, Janik, Brelana, Hendrix, and Azariah whom she loved and talked about constantly. She also leaves behind a brother Charles (Patsy) Davenport of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two sisters, Ann Landers of Lineville, Alabama and Jeanette Craig of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and a host of other relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, a son, five brothers, three sisters, and two husbands.
