Yaita Amir Wright was born October 26, 1979 to the parentage of Joseph Simmons and Jettie Wright in Flint, Michigan. He was educated in the Flint City School System. He later moved to Georgia and graduated from Stone Mountain High School, Class of 1998.

He answered the Lord's call on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at the Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston, Alabama. Beautiful and loving memories remain with: his mother, Jettie Wright; his brother, Corey Wright; his son, Keiland Wright; his stepson, McHale Anderson; a special friend, Rebecca McCoy and her children; a special person in his life, Robert Stephens; his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
