Mrs. Vivian Jones Goggins was born on January 28, 1959 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was adopted at young age by Rev. Cleveland Jones and Dr. Ella Ree Jones.
Mrs. Goggins accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and let His light shine throughout her entire life. She had a passion for singing and playing the piano at an early age and enjoyed it throughout her adulthood. She graduated high school from Oxford High School and furthered her education at Tuskegee Institute where she received her Bachelors of Science. She crossed into Delta Sigma Theta (Anniston Alumnae Chapter) in 1983.
She worked and served diligently in the healthcare field as a licensed physical therapist assistant (LPTA) for over 35 years. She had a love for the arts and participated in C.A.S.T through various acting roles. Mrs. Goggins was a kidney transplant recipient in October 2021 and was beyond grateful for a second chance to continue to live life. In December 2023, she fulfilled her lifelong wish by meeting her biological family.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Rev. Cleveland Jones and mother, Dr. Ella Ree Jones. She was also proceeded in death by her step-mother, Norma Jones and step-sisters Brenda Nobles Malone and Janice Nobles Turner.
Her memories will forever be cherished by: her husband, Terry Goggins; son, Frederick Joseph Howard (Val); daughter, Erin McIntosh (Kerry); step-daughter, LaCetia Reed; grandchildren, Jalen Howard, Jaxen Howard, Jett Howard, Knox McIntosh, Zoë McIntosh, Oliver McIntosh, and Cori Sky Rowland; sisters, Sylvia Elaine Jones, Shirley Nash, Linda Carter, and Chris Nash; step-brother, Bernard Nobles (Debora); host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends.
