William Edward “Michael” Elston Sr. was born on July 4, 1960 to Eddie Elston Noye and the late Freddie F. Andrews. He joined the Greater Thankful Baptist Church at an early age where he was baptized by Rev. P. Q. English and served as the Youth Sunday School superintendent.
He graduated from Walter Wellborn High School in 1978. He went on to attend Jacksonville State university for three and a half years where he met his loving wife, Deborah.
They were united in holy matrimony and to this union three children were born; William Jr., Dinah, and Jaleesa. He briefly worked for the Anniston police Department and then went on to work for the Federal Bureau of prisons at FCI Talladega for 30 years.
He was an avid hunter, loved to fish, barbeque and watch and attend Nascar races. He also loved to watch the Alabama Crimson Tide play football on Saturdays.
Michael answered God’s call on January 19, 2021.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Deborah Elston; one son, William “Buddy” (Neiel) Elston Jr.; two daughters, Dinah “Bubbles” (Jason) Moore and Jaleesa Elston; his loving mother, Eddie Elston Noye; six grandchildren, Destini, Jada, Kerrigan, JaSelle, Blue, and Mecca; eight sisters, Renee (Pete) pride, Francis Markland, Stephanie Christopher, Brenda Oliver, Pamela Stansberry, Michelle Ephriam, Brittnee Thomas, Aneseia Slaughter; two brothers, Russell Ringo and Rodney Thrift; five sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
