Wayne Lee Gibson

Wayne Lee Gibson was born on February 1, 1955 in Anniston, Alabama to the parentage of James and Flossie gibson. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Savior and joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Wayne graduated from Cobb Avenue High School in 1973 and joined the United States Army, where he retired after twenty-three years as a Staff Sg. Dt E-6 in the United States Army Reserve. He attended Gadsden State Community College and later obtained a Bachelor's Degree from Jacksonville State University. He was employed at Ft. McClellan and at Anniston Army Depot. Wayne later became employed as a maintenance technician for America’s Best Motel in Oxford, Alabama. Wayne is survived by his beautiful daughter, Carmen Olivia Celeste Gibson; his loving mother, Flossie Gibson; five siblings, Wendell (Jackie) of Douglasville, Georgia, Dennis (Carolyn), Harold, Fred and Tammy Gibson, all of Anniston, Alabama; a host of nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews, and a host of other close family and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, James L. Gibson; his son, Christopher Wayne Gibson, and sister, Tracy Denise Gibson.
